WORK BACKGROUND:

Project Designer: HOK, Dallas TX (March 2016-Present)

  • Design leader for project team. Generate and develop designs from concept to construction completion, while working with design and technical professionals coordinating consultants with building systems and details.
  • Implement many and varied efforts to support office development. These responsibilities include spearheading social media outreach, curating the local contribution to the company wide design publication, leading a weekly course teaching Dynamo, and taking an active role in leadership group as part of CORE.

Designer: HOK, Dallas TX (July 2015- March 2016)

  • Creating and developing designs and implementing construction details as part of a large hospitality project in Houston, TX

Designer: Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects (July 2013- July 2015)

  • Produced designs for substantial portions of the New Orleans Airport,, including curtainwall and ceiling details, retail program, and site features.

Web Designer: Portuguese Mapping of Coastal Africa (August 2011- May 2012)

  • Organized site for efficient access of information and designed graphics for representation of coastal African discovery and history
  • Supported by a grant from National Endowment for Humanities

Intern Designer: Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill (SOM: San Francisco) (August 2010 – August 2011)

  • Contributed design and presentation material to help win a residential tower competition, participated on the project through completion of concept design, designing a majority of the basement, ground level, and facade
  • Worked on a team with the urban planners to put together a winning proposal for a master plan in Beijing
  • Developed detailed construction drawings through coordination with structural team for a sculpture installation at the San Francisco International Airport
  • Completed construction documents for the San Bernardino Courthouse and contributed key drawings in obtaining DSA and Fire Marshal approvals

Intern Designer: Allen Bianchi Architects (May 2008-August 2008)

  • Presented designs to clients, drew details for large scale residential projects, visited sites to oversee construction, and rendered images for design progress
